buggies are gone *update*

I have 3 buggies that I wish to part with. They are used but still in great shape, with many years of expertise under the seat.

PL bigfoot (older model), SOLD
I used this with 21x8 tires and it was a bit too tippy. I have 3 new midi tires on it now and it is much better in all aspects. I also will include a spash guard.
I use a stadium chair with this buggy because I hate to lean back as all of these 00are sold with low back support seats.
the cost of the buggy, splash guard, stadium seat and midi tires, with shipping is $425.00

Libre Sprinter, GONE
Libre's lightweight intro buggy and good for beginner and intermediate pilots - great for cruising, freestyling or just long distance safari. Includes Splashguard.Fully Customisable and upgradeable. Axle width: 110cmFrame: Galvanised Steel (Non Rusting) with powder coatingLength adjustment: From 300mmRear bearing diameter : 20mmFrame Weight: 18 kg
Frame Colour: Black
New this would cost $650 plus shipping.
I am asking $475.00 which includes shipping to the lower 48.

Libre V-Max SOLD
Race style buggy suited to the seasoned racer with high speed capability and stability. Galvanized steel (non-rusting)Fully customisable Includes padded side rails and splashguardFully Customisable and upgradeableAxle width: 135cmFrame: Galvanised Steel (Non Rusting) with powder coatingLength adjustment: From 300mmRear bearing diameter : 20mmFrame Weight: 24 kgSeat: Comfortable padding with back rest and side railsFrame Colour: Black
New this bug is worth $850.00 plus shipping.
I am asking $500.00 which includes shipping to the lower 48.

I have way too many buggies and not enough room in the trailer to move, so these must go to a new home.

Buy with confidence Gang!.... He may live on the polar opposite side of the country from me, but I consider Jeff my friend, and he definitely knows his stuff!

These buggies look like they only need a good cleaning and they'll be top notch for sure... Definitely like the look of that red Libre!

Just out of curiosity, Do the libre buggies have bearings in the neck like pl? From pictures I've seen of libre and libre like buggies, I've noticed it doesn't look like there would be room. It looks like just enough room for a bolt and maybe a nylon bushing? I've always thought a an actual bearing was probably unnecessary.

Yeah, I can't think of any good reason to use a bearing for the forks instead of a bushing. It doesn't need that kind of reduced rolling resistance. Except when doing complicated spins or really light wind tweaking you rarely move the steering column for more than tiny adjustments anyway.

If anything the bearing just adds an unnecessary part to fail. Probably not an issue for me since I'm not around salt water or sand.

haha, pl has bearings?
The Libres have nylon washers. Much easier to replace and less expensive than bearings.

My first buggy was a Flexi with a nylon bushing. It tended to get sticky and squeaky due to dirt I guess. I used the waxy bike chain lube on it and it quietened it down and smoothed operation. I've had one bearing fail in some buggy years ago but only that once. A well engineered bushing is certainly up to the task.

I have seen a few buggies with bearings in the down tube and it was not a pretty sight. Dirt and dust will wear out bearings but not as fast as salt water and sand. Anytype of nylon or poly material bushings are by far better than bearings in this application. As said above the amount of turning and preasure put on the fork-downtube is not enough to warent the bearing and the amount of maintenance and replacement cost to justify anything but a bushing. Rinse, spray with WD-40, or dry silicone and your good to go for a long bushing life.

Sounds crazy but i have found that a good extra virgin olive oil works better than anything else i have tried to eliminate the squeak in my flexi nylon bushing. (and yes it needs to be extra virgin:D)

that right, Levi rides with me in the buggy all the time. His top speed is 54mph while barking in my ear to tell me to pick up the speed a bit more, or he was telling me he was hungry.

First off I can vouch for the Libre V-max as I have used it at SOBB last Sept. It worked fine as long as the pilot payed attention.:o
Second thing I don't think Levi licked his butt very much in the other one. But he is little and cute anyway.

What's the width between the side rails on the V-Max? Or if it's easier Height/Weight/Pants Size, so I can get a a general idea on if and how I'd fit in it (or not).

Want to make sure I'll fit somewhat before I pull the trigger and say I must have it (which I'm pretty sure will end up being the case). And is that price including the wheels? I ask as I know shipping goes up $$$ to send those too.

Thanks for the measurement. And I did read the first post, but only saw it specifically state them for one of the buggies, and given you have many buggies, and might have wanted to keep a set as extras for you, I wanted to make sure, I'd rather look stupid and ask a stupid question.

as I said earlier a slpash guard goes with the buggies which is not in the pictures.
