go here http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=29242&p... look at the bottom of the page. sadsack that is me, I have some stuff that you can
download and build your own be delta. NASA build on 40 feet by 80 feet. I thing that you most likely won't want one that big, you can make one any
size.
The Thor's Hammer has been discontinued for a few years, so you will only find them on the secondary market and infrequently.
Kent or any of the HQ dealers should be able to get you a Fazer XXL (360).
Teresa at TheKiteShoppe should be able to get you the Balor.
IntoTheWind should be able to get you the Elliot Mirage, but I think the Mammut has been discontinued. The spars on the Mirage XL can double as
escrima sticks.
Not sure what the status of the ITW Goliath is.
The Premier Apollo was discontinued 3 or 4+ years ago, Kent had one for a bit, but now it's whatever you can find on the secondary market.
Gunter Wolsing makes huge (HUGE) kites. He generally doesn't sell them but a year or two ago he published a book that I believe contains plans. Caveat: I believe the book is only available in German although the plans themselves should be reasonably
easy to suss out using Google Translate.
This should give you an idea of how large some of his kites get.

Sam

I'am very in... for a Balor270, i'ved contact direct Jens Frank from level one... he says at this time he don't got sails for the Balor.
Still looking other brands...
Maybe i'am wrong.... the hq fazer xxl looks like "medium" quality?
No i don't even think about build up one by my self... no sewing machine.
Thor Hammer are "hard to find" in good shape.

You could used a delta stunt kite for a buggy for sure, but you still might want to bridle it for quad handles so you could easily have some sort of
stall control when at speed.
I have had my E3 up in 25-30mph winds and could scud with it. I don't know the projected area of the sail, but the wingspan is about 8ft. I think it
is one of the slightly larger sizes of stunt kite.

Just out of curiosity - why aren't these things used for buggies?
From what I've seen, they are used for buggies but not as much as traction kites. My assumption is that they are too heavy and need more wind.
Considering where I live, there won't be enough. Also, crashing one would be deadly. That's definitely an advantage of foils, since they don't have
any solid parts. I myself was thinking of getting a Elliot mirage XXL but then changed my decision and decided not to get it as it will probably not
come out of the closet due to the demand of wind it requires.
There's a guys who ride buggy with three kite stacked without any problem.

Revolution Power Series kites are certainly a possible choice for a buggy engine. Being framed kites they would be less crash resistant but are quite
tough compared to duallie deltas. It would require some experience flying Revs in particular before attempting to use for motive power. The Power
Blast 2-4 would be a good choice if you wanted to try one. It would have a good resale value if you decided it was not what you hoped it would be.
The Power Blast 4-8 is a huge kite, very powerful & quite different from other Revs. Not for a beginner or a timid flier making first attempts.
I compare it to flying two sheets of plywood but of course it is not that crude. A relatively scarce kite but is available. The smaller Blast kite
is powerful enough to use in higher winds also. Back in the day the Revolution 1 was considered a choice as well. There are Revolution stack fliers
that run buggies too. I have all these kites & the ambition to use them to power a buggy. I am working on it & read this forum daily to help
me along the path. Still a bit timid myself. SHBKF
Waiting my big one... it was not a money question but an availability one.

One of my first kites was the Spectra Sport Windforce 98. It is a dual line delta with a 98" wingspan. I still have it but it and break it out at
the beach with a 100' tail made out of old VCR tape (through it away after each use). It makes a ton of noise, pulls like a truck and with a tail you
can write all over the sky. Always draws a crowd and I exaggerate the pull for the ohhhhh and ahhhhhh factor but it is fun to fly with.

The NASA style kites are one way to go for big two-line kites. Born-Kite sells these up to 12.5 square meters. I either currently own or have owned
each of these kites. They are of high quality, both in terms of material and workmanship. NS3s are set up to fly as either two or three line kites.
When flying only with two lines you simply leave the central bridle line pigtail attached to its little attachment at the kite nose.
I'm thinking these are not exactly what you are looking for, but I thought I'd throw this idea into the mix. Note that in some decent wind these big
NS3s generate the kind of power you could use to pull a car out of mud so please be careful!
I buggied with a 3 stack of Hawaiians and a 3 stack of NSR's before getting my C-Quads. Was really fun but quite difficult to relaunch if you ever
had to.
