im sure i read somwhere about power rings on kite bridle but cant find where i red it. Have i just dreamed this or are they real? if so what do they do, and how do they work?

Power steering rings is the implied name, as they have more to do with turning speed and responsiveness. They are rings on the end of a short piece of line, the other end of which is secured to the main bridle toggle where the main lines attach. The brake lines run through the rings, taking the trailing bow out of them and in effect makes them lead mor directly to the handles/ bar. Arguably makes the brakes more responsive.

They are standard on HQ Beamer TSR. Got one to demo and play with but sold it before I could. Waiting for another...

They aren't necessary on most kites. They are popular on begos and standard on old quardifoil series kites (I believe) and helpful on old firebees.

They are only necessary for kites whose Trailing Edge is effected by the weight of the brake lines pulling on the TE. The rings help reduce the tension / drag from the fly lines on the TE and prevent distortion which impedes performance.
