Long Beach, WA - Spreading the "HAPPY VIBES"
Hey everyone...Waking this place up!!
If your coming this direction, give me a shout (U2U)...
Also, stop on by World Kite Museum in Long Beach and say Hi to Holli (the new director) while your here....she's been excited and extremely supportive
to bring more kite surfing/boarding/buggying to the area in hopes of the WA Parks approval to lift the ban on wind powered vehicles on the beach.
(Fingers Crossed) I'm in regular contact with her, and she'd love to see more kite "sports" involvement in the area...In a nut-shell, she's on our
side...and is bringing a big part of the community/supporters/merchants with her.

This could be a sign of great things to come...
"Rock the bring it" (just made that up cause it sounds cool)

Steve, others, I just got home from the Washington State Parks Commission meeting. In a nutshell wind powered vehicles are now NOT illegal on
Washington beaches.
THEY WILL BE ALLOWED WITH RESTRICTIONS. The details, hopefully, will be coming along in the next couple of weeks. We have been having a lot of
conversations the last month or so on language and areas that will be allowed. SO, DONT GO GRABING YOUR KITES AND BUGGIES YET. We have a few weeks to
get things finalized. At this point, ( if I am not blindsided) it's not perfect, but it is a far cry better then we currently have.
Also Steve, I sent Holly an email outlining a concern, possibly she and other community people can make a change.
I will inform all when everything is a go and make maps and the new law available.
Thanks all for your support in this process the last few years.

Awesome news...
If anyone doesn't know...Evans is my secret super hero..I'm getting him a buggy safe CAPE for his efforts in all of this... Morrie too...
Maybe even a couple masks..dun-na-na-na...(now I'm snickering to the imaginary vision of them buggying in full super hero gear)..
I'm happy, even if we only got the "draft" map opened... I usually go Cranberry North anyway....
Cheers to all the Kite Rock Stars and State Parks for working this...we'll take what we can get!!
Whoo hooo!!
