Best bearings for Doomwheels

Greetings from Northern England.
I learned of the existence of Doomwheels yesterday and now my mission is clear. While sourcing the materials needed I'm wondering about the most appropriate bearings to use. The wheels I have found so far use the 3/16" caged bearings like on a bicycle. I normally skate on quads with 8mm bearings and assume that these cartridge type bearings (Bones Reds etc.) are more suitable. Is this the case? I really want to get these things built, it looks like the most fun possible!
Cheers for any help.

go with a common size, same as land boards/ bike favor 12mm axle set up, 12x28x8

with the 12"wheels, look for front wheels on a childs bike , easy , available and lowbuck.

Cheers. As far as I can tell landboards use cartridge style and bikes use cage style bearings. Which would be best for Doomwheels?
Cartridge: http://media.chainreactioncycles.com/is/image/ChainReactionC...

or

Cage: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41DsP0aQukL._SY300_.jp...

Thanks for the dimensions.

I just want to make as many of the right choices early on so the guaranteed failures later on won't make me cry!

Ah! The dimensions you gave were for the bearing itself, now I understand! My reply makes no sense at all now. I thought you offered overal dimensions of the Doomwheel skates!

Gotcha!

Cheers

I prefer the cartridge bearings, and find them easier to replace/maintain. I also appreciated the slightly greater wheel/tire selection I found using them.
