Nice and simple and easy to knock up.  Perhaps shorter bolts with dome
heads or nylocks - or put the wingnuts on the inside where practical (with appropriate sized bolts) - less things to bang an ankle into or snag a
line.
I like the small sections of flat attached to the front axle - makes for easy attachment. Good thinking.
