Machine washed colour dyed seat

I was hoping to sell this buggy which has sat in my garage for the past few years doing nothing, so I decided to overhaul starting with the seat.

It said on the packet, velvet black but the end results were a rusty chocolate brown.

It looks okay, I like it. I had a tough job pushing the seat into the machine and then removing it when finished. It would have helped if I had removed the plastic stiffener back support.

I'm now in two minds whether to sell. Like the 4.9 Blade, I'm having second thoughts. Maybe I should take it for a run.

Ha! If only I had the gift of the gab but I'd definitely like do a video to help sell it. Maybe ride through some flames, slow motion with some evocative music. Inspired by this Peugeot advert from my teenage years in the early 80s.

I bought the wheels with them already filled. I was given spare segments. All they are is Perspex, cut to shape, clear silicone'd in and sprayed. The GSX 400 wheels have a handy lip on each segment which they butt up against to support them.

Thanks man. The tyres were chosen specifically for the dry lake but damn, THEY, ARE, HEAVY!

Nor me. I was going to sell the bug stating that it had a faded seat but then later I had the idea to dye it. Hmmmm, I wonder what else I could dye.
