introducing myself
Hi everyone,
My name is Mischa. I moved to America 2 years ago. And so far I like it. Its different from my old country (the Netherlands) but at the same time its
not.
Since a few months I live in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach and i want to start up kiting again.
I have been kiting for about 10 years. Most of the time jumping around on a kgb board. (We call them Fly boards)
I had to sell my complete set. Peter Lynn and Flysurfer, so I will start from scrap besides my board and waist.
I hope to see some buggying and boarding action around me soon. And if so, i will walk up and say hi.
Ps..im 43 and as they say....i was better when i was younger.
May the wind be in your back.

Thanks guys.
I do see a lot of kites in the air. 98 % is kitesurfing. Im cab manage, but am way better on land. It feels more natural to me on a board and its
better for my knees too.
The coastline is not as wide as in the Netherlands so I am more depending on the right wind unless I find a spot around where the gras is short or a
wide spot on the beach.
I am cruising around this area to see if thats around to get more options on windy days and be less dependend for onshore winds.
I haven't been north of the Cape yet to really explore the shoreline, but riding south the beach seems to get smaller.
Thanks for the welcome.

I would like to be there. Together with Jeroen, I organised kite events in the Netherlands. We where always busy during these weekends more running
around then kiting ourself.
So to participate and have the focus on kiting amd meeting new people would be awesome.
I will follow the thread. It looks like a good place to be.

for land board is ok, its super grippy tires melt like erasers on powerslides, but wind is all over place sometimes, IMHO not as predictable as
coastal air, air is dry so its not heavy feeling, nothing like east coast with air loaded with water. the experience was great but in general i
much prefer wind on southeast coast .
i am about 4+ hours north of you. we should me at jekyll great place to ride . i have plenty of gear arcs/FS/tubes, boards, kites etc. let me
know. definitely help you get back on the horse.

Welcome! Although you're already on the beach, if you ever want to meet and fly at Anastasia State Park, let me know! We'd love to meet up with you
and have another flyer. Probably about the same drive for you as it is for me :-) It's a lovely beach and has the luxury of being generally empty of
people for our purposes.
