Inserting a photo directly into a post - help please!
I'm trying to figure out how to insert photos directly into threads on PKF. I understand how to insert them using the attachment feature at the
bottom of the full Reply screen but this only inserts them as a small image that needs to be clicked on to see full sized like the one shown here.
I want to insert a picture that appears full sized, like the great picture of Popeye in his farewell thread seen here:
http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=30800
Can somebody please explain how to do this? Thanks in advance!!!

I usually just paste the link from my photo hosting site. I use photobucket but there are others.

This is how it looks. I spaced out the first bracket so you could see the link.

Yup. Photo bucket! Good site, but slow servers.
Create an account Steve. It really is easy to understand once you navigate the site a bit. Just copy image Linky, and paste like cheesy showed.

Thanks Steve, now I need to buy a tablet to see the picture. My iPhone screen isn't big enough to see but 1/6 of the pic.:o
I guess I could use a new tablet lol

Bigkid - now that's a problem! Possible solution - sell 1/50th of your kite quiver and buy a new top-of-the-line iPad. You have the most impressive
quiver I've ever heard of, you would hardly notice the thinning... :D

The only man that looks bad bald is the one with a hang up about it. I'm seriously balding and look fantastic! :D

When you start balding at the ripe old age of 20, there is a little bit to be bent out of shape about.... but hey, thats what hats (and razors) are
for.
About the photos too, you can dictate how big they are as well... when you use the button to post a pic from your image hosting site you can add size
parameters in as well... likey so:

its the "=600x400" bit that will dictate size, but you have to add it in after the fact.... I usually make my images smaller because my iPhone pics
end up being WAY to big IMO.

Good point Spencer! In searching around a little this AM I find a free site that allowed me to easily re-size photos as well as do other simple
edits. It's called PicMonkey and can be found here:
http://www.picmonkey.com/
Two step process this way, but what the heck. I also experimented with the "square" photo feature of my iPhone for that shot, allowing me to easily
post the max size, 1000 x 1000 pixels.
Obviously there are a ton of ways to skin this cat!

cutting across 2 topics mentioned here... I can kill 2 birds with one stone... or skin 2 cats with 1 pic:
HOLY SCHNIEKIES!!!! Who's that bald guy in the selfie!!!!
I refer to this as "... reaching critical mass on the Constanza scale"
I always have trouble remembering which goes first the height or the width, so that "Preview Post" button is super handy.
If you hit the "Quote" button and quote this post, you can see where the dimensions are entered just for an idea. I sized the above photo at 550x700
for a frame of reference.
But things can get fun when you do the dimensions wrong.... Lets see:
Now I'm bald and fat... a winning combo for sure!!!
I'm going to take a nap now
