I've finally gotten to were I don't cringe when I see videos like this... And experience somatic pain :o
He may have been trying for a graceful dismount and carried more speed into the pendulum than he anticipated. You can tell that he is at least
somewhat experienced and comfortable in the air because he thought to kiteloop before he hit the goal posts and was able to fly over them instead of
being whacked against them.
On second thought, it just looks like he maybe crossed his bar after spinning it and accidentally pulled the kiteloop. He is lucky.
