HID or LED?
I got rid of the HID for the LED in my Dodge Ram, now that was one heck of an improvement, at a much less cost. I wouldn't go back to the Original
headlights for anything.
The new ones sure do look sweet.

Turn and trim lights are LED, Rings are CCFL and the headlights themselves are Halogen H1 & H3.. I'm quite happy with the new look..
Not sure where you are headed with that but what came off was plastic too.. and almost opaque. I really wish I could have found a harder material but
they just don't make'em in glass any more..

Riff that made a striking difference in appearance. How is the light from them at night?
My Yukon has projector headlights and HID retrofit bulbs work great in them with all the light but no glare to oncoming drivers. The projector shapes
the beam with HID just like a halogen bulb.

Was referencing the move by automobile manufactures from glass to plastic..... ostensibly for weight savings and reduced breakage.
It's one of those cost saving / "don't make em like they used to" things that tries to get pawned off as a "good thing" when it really isn't
You can get some driving lights in Borosilicate glass, but primary headlights seem to be all plastic regardless of OEM or aftermarket.
Doesn't come close to the mandatory designed-to-fail corrision crap-fest that is the TPMS sensor, but still annoying.

Nice Riff, did you have to remove your bumper to change the headlight assemblies? I had to for the pilot.

Fortunately no but I did have to trim the sheet metal behind the lights to give clearance. The advertisement that they were a drop in replacement was
slightly exaggerated..
