Light wind kite jumping vid

Longing for higher wind days and winds that come out of the north or the south instead of east west lately..... I put together some footage for a short video of flying and jumping at my local park. The reason for the north or south winds is due to those hideous High T lines in the background. When the wind is north/ south there is tons of room to board (North wind jumping and tricks South for just cruising) but east/ west winds will shorten the field considerably and blow you into them... San Antonio seems to have an aversion to open green areas and they seem to love having High T lines run through every park in this city. There are only 2 places to fly here in SA and that's Pearsall park (where this is filmed) and McAllister, which also has the T line problem. Anywhoosies... Here's my little video I put together having some fun in light summer winds the other evening here in SA. 10 to 12 with an occasional 15mph gust.

Looks like there is a blown cell on the right side of the kite. Have any plans to sew that back up? If you wanted to ship it to a place for repairs, I think fixmykite does good work on arcs at a pretty cheap price.

If you want more height you should try pendulum jumping (run the left and fly the left and then turn the kite back to the right and keep running away and upwind and when the kite gets somewhere between 12 and 2 pull the bar hard).

YEah, That's the cell I need to get fixed. I have been meaning to send it off to the guys at fixmykite but things keep coming up. I'll probably get it sent off this next week... I hope. LOL

They will eventually when the winds around here get too much for the venom. Really liking not having to pump up my kite and get exhausted before I fly though. :D

Yeah I have tried that but since I have put on a "few" pounds in the last year, I don't run so good.... more of a fast walk than anything. HAHA! But on a positive.. the kite is helping me lose it again...slowly but its working. :Ange09:
