I assume they don't share your "tip tuck" concerns and say all of that could be fixed with a minor bridle mod....
Or do they insist on a 6m Lotus instead?

I read that 4m Peak vs 6m Access for high wind article. I went 6m Access in the end in spite of my Peak love. I wanted the rock solid stability in
high winds....I didn't fancy a wasp-on-a-string with a small fast Peak II in 35mph! I've had the 6m Access out in 30mph and it was didn't bat an
eyelid. Completely stable and very confidence inspiring!

Paul - excellent! I like your "wasp-on-a-string" analogy. :D I'm certainly not married to my Peaks and would go a different way as you did if it
just makes more sense. For right now I'm sitting tight with the 6m P2 as my smallest / highest wind DP. I've yet to have it out in winds where it is
too much kite, but that isn't saying much as it just hasn't been super windy, and nothing like consistent 20+ mph, much less 30+! The way I'm
thinking about it, if it is blowing so hard that my 6m P2 is too much kite then I should not go out. One thing I'm concerned about is the kite
getting all out of control on the ground or when I'm trying to take off. I'm imagining it tying itself into knots as I wrestle with it in the
tempest.
The smallest kites I fly are 2.5 and 3.2m NS3s. They are "wasp" like in the kinds of winds that have me pulling them out of the bag for buggying. I
ended up getting an adjustable width bar to effectively fly these little beasts with a more narrow spread to "de-tune" them if you will. I find my
new 6m P2 quite quick, still too quick for me, but each time I take it out I get better with it. As you will find, the 12m P2 takes a lot of input to
maneuver and my muscle memory is spilling over into my piloting of the 6m.
This is one of the reasons I am now dreaming of owning a 9m P2! For my tastes the 12m turns too slowly (though she remains my "session-saver") and
the 6m is more reactive than I'd like. I am therefore imaging that the 9m Peak will split that maneuverability difference and sit right in a sweet
spot! Stuff dreams are made of. :singing:

Thanks rtz - good idea. I've started to put out feelers in a number of places. I'd been on the site you linked too before, and like before, they
only so far seem to have Peak 1s. I think I will reach out to them and see if they have any 9m P2s or think they may soon.

Thanks Paul! I came within a whisker of pulling a "three-fer" in the used demo department but it slipped away. Went the new route through the
honorable Mr. Krug (feyd). Should have her hopefully by this weekend! Winds are forecasted right around 13 MPH on Saturday around these parts, making
it one of the "tweener" days for the 6m and 12m P2s. You guessed it, right in the sweet spot for a fresh new crispy clean 9m P2!
As you will soon find out on your own (if you have not already done so) it is completely possible to buggy with the 12m in this or quite a bit
stronger wind that just isn't quite strong enough for you to want to pull out the 6m. I've had a bunch of sessions this summer like that, where I've
got the 12m in the sky but I'm having to fly it way up high in the air with the bar all the way out with the kite fluttering as it sheets out.
Completely doable, but a little nerve wracking, absolutely requiring complete attention to the kite at all times to keep from being yanked out of your
socks (and buggy). Such sessions are actually kind of fun in a daredevil sort of way...

I've only flown the 12m in the light stuff so far. I've got that big bug to keep me secure, so in theory I should be able to hold down quite a bit of
power. I'm looking forward to some big powerslides!!
