Have you had a chance to get the Zeekai's out yet, Chris? It will be nice to get some objective feedback on them.

I'm eyeing up the 19m as an uber-light wind option, esp for snow.

There's clear improvement in inflation on this v2 over the original for sure. A customer fro. Bermuda sent us an email yesterday after his first flight on his Chrono V2 and couldn't have been happier. A stark contrast to what we usually hear after a customer's first run with the original Chrono. Especially since most of these people are going from LEIs to the Chrono with little or no Foil kite experience. The V2 inflates almost like an open cell. Definitely inflates as well, maybe better than the Sonic. Which is why the Sonic won so many people over from the Chrono last year.

I got out to static fly the Zeekai 19m yesterday. 0-3mph winds so it seemed a good time to see how she does.

A open cell race style kite is a lot different than what I've become accustomed to. Instant loss of internal pressure when it loses air speed or wind forces you to really pay attention. Closed cells will drift through stuff and are less prone to half sail size tip collapse and curl. I know it sounds bad but really its not. Its just different and with some time in the saddle I think easily managed.

My initial impression was "My God, it feels like Big Blue". (The Peter Lynn Proto that has been making its way around PKF members). But it turns a hell of a lot faster, has a shload more pull and way nicer bar pressure.

This kite, for its size especially, has really nice bar pressure. Turn rate is also very good. I could go on but that should be in a separate Zeekai post. Which I will do soon after more time working with them.

An I love me my 5fingers. I like being barefoot but Molly worries so we compromise. ;)
