Ozone Handles

Has anyone ever dissected a pair to see what the knots look like inside?

I've seen before on others handles and now on a pair of mine that when a strop line is not attached; the loop ever so slowly starts to disappear into the handle. Hoping the knot doesn't slip undone sometime while under load.

Would you like me to dissect these brand new Ozone handles or send them to you ?

I have experience in Ozone handle dissections..... This one under hard kite braking. :D

That handle got catastrophically destroyed in the second pic. How exactly did it fail like that?

What kind of material is the tubing made out of?

I ran out of room doing est 40mph so I swung the kite (Blade 8.5) behind me and the force snapped the handle. Previously and on the same day whilst pulling the same manoeuvre I snapped a brand new line set.....twice! :D

The material is super strong and thick plastic. I tried to break off a jagged piece but it wasn't having any of it.

The handle was the final straw. I really hurt my thumb. I thought I had broken it.

Dissect or send ?

EDIT> No wait, I lie. I snapped two sets of lines while kite braking but the handle snapped after spooling up the rear axle. My thumb got caught between the handle and the axle. Very painful.

I don't have the heart to chop up those nice handles; so you'll have to do it :D

It would be nice to know what the knot situation inside the handles is though. I'd be interested in seeing the actual handle material too(material type and thickness).
