It's the shipping that kills... I'd love some extra line sets/landboard hardware... but I lose any savings (and then some) from the shipping.

Just to be sure everyone understands how flexi web site works...

Flexi separates out the shipping so the buggy is now

Navaro Kite Buggy 643.90$
Coupon (FESTIVEFUN) -321.96$
Shipping (UPS Courier Delivery) 121.13$
That was shipping to Newport Oregon...

Grand Total 443.08$

This is less than I paid for the used one with shipping...

I would purchase one in a second having used the Navaro for the last 2 years...
I am fighting with myself not to purchase one as a spare but I see no signs I would need it anytime soon because it is holding up well.

In case anyone gets the incorrect info like I did that you can only run barrows.
You can (and I do) run Midi tires.

The midi tires I run are Deli Tire made in Indonesia
http://delitire.com/website/product/s-317/
Size is 16x6.5-8 - 4 ply Nylon

Rims are the standard black plastic 2.50A x 8"

This combination has worked well for me and was purchased from Angus - Coastal Wind Sports which sadly is now closed.

I ordered and waited four days. This is what showed up at my house.

Now I just need too make some time to build it this weekend.

Sorry Jeff (bigkid), this direction just made more sense for me at this time in my life.

I will need to take a rain check (do those even exist anymore). Possibly after the holidays. My schedule has been crazy lately. I would love to get together with either you or Dave (windy heap) to either fly or buggy in the future.

I did get part of it built last night. Looking forward to finishing the remainder on Sunday.

I'm just stoked because rain here means snow in the mountains. I think the resorts have as much snow now as they got all of last year...

So ready to hit the slopes and make some turns.

Any setup /assembly hints.

I would think greasing bolts would be bad because it would attract sand but then again would prevent galling.

I did already have a problem with a seat buckle but it's nothing that cannot be fixed with a couple of zip ties...

I guess at half the price you would be lucky to get more than half the buggy.

If I'm using SS bolts, I'll usually dip the thread in some linseed oil and let the excess drain off, that seems to stop the galling. There's probably something made just for that job but yeah, seized ss bolts are no fun.

Overall I am happy with the product, price and shipping speed. However it would have been nice if the clip hadn't had broken.

The strap that comes from the left side of the seat, wraps around the left side rail, goes down and wraps around the axle, and wraps around the right side rail has an asymmetrical buckle. When I wrapped it properly the two ends of the clips were sewn 180°out and couldn't be clipped together. I tried to remove the movable side clip from the strap to flip it over but the stitched end was too much material to push back thru and I didn't want to un-stitch and re-stitch. I flipped it over back a loop and re-attached the buckle. It said to tighten the strap so I did. That is when one of the tabs broke off of the clip. I don't think i was pulling on y excessively hard. I clipped the rest of the clip together and I zip tied it. It should be just fine.

Photo of it. Notice my daughter has a new favorite seat in the house....

SS hardware is the pits in terms of galling, especially if it's fine threaded. Forgot to put it anything on two bolts on my Sysmic and got to drill out the bolts as they seized to the tapped metal piece... It's switched to bolt and nut now.

Silicon Lubricant and Polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE are the two preferred choices, but about any lubricant or thread seize works.

Eric, I have a sewing machine that will fix that .
In case you were not aware of the design aspect of the buggy seat...
The point were the seat attaches to the down tube were the side rails attach is the front point of the seat "load" point. The 2 straps that goes from the bottom of the rear of the seat to the axle are the rear "load" point. The straps that wrap the side rails are not support straps, only hold the seat In place. The bottom ones support your weight. If one of the rear axle straps are damaged the seat will not last as long as it should if it was supported correctly.
I found out from buggy bags and libre after ha ring to replace a few that were not installed correctly.

y
Flexi buggies used to come with a small tube of Copaslip which is a copper infused grease. Metals can sometimes galvanically weld themselves together and this stuff prevents it. A little goes a long way. Mainly for axle bolt threads going into the axle.
