Flysurfer Unity 10- Love it or Hate it?
Looking for some users opinions on this kite. Was this a good kite or a dog? Lots of mixed opinions out there. Would only be using it for land based
fun-primarily on the snow. Is it worth switching from a Frenzy FYX 7 to the Unity? (regular fabric)

I still have a Unity 12m which I use occasionally. A very stable kite and has steady power compard to some of my other kites.
Based on my experience with the 12 I would be happy enough with the 10. I would imagine the Frenzy woulb be more performance orientated.
I will probably sell it now as I have bought a used Speed 4 10m (not Lotus) std cloth and would really recommend one of this if you can get one. I
also have an 8m Speed 4 (Dlx) - my favourite kite.......
Mostly prefer open cell in the snow - easy to manage and collapse compared to the closed cell. Use the Flysurfers a lot in the buggy and on water.

The 7m frenzy will be much faster than the flysurfer unity . the flysurfer is a nice kite with a smooth power delivery and good depower. If you
looking for a little more power u will like it but if ure looking for the same type of performance as the frenzy then they are not similar. The
speed may be more similar to the frenzy.
MY KITES
nano- 0.5m - high wind kite
mega-2.2m- low wind kite

Thanks for the feedback! Wasn't looking for the same flight characteristics. Have owned Pulse 2's so am familiar with the differences between the 2.
More interested in the wider windrange and the usable depower.
The Frenzy does spoil you for easy self launch and landing. Only interested in this Unity as I found one that is essentially new and a 10 would fit
well beneath my 15.

I've heard it's very friendly (even less lifty than an Access) and stable with little grunt. Less power /sqm than other kites. Should make a great
high wind kite.
But that's only what I've heard, I've never tried this one myself.

I think switching from a Frenzy to a Unity would be kind of a disappointment if you happen to like the Frenzy. Performance wise they are somewhat
different animals with different purposes. As UnknownAx mentioned the Unity is a low key kinda of kite. But at the same time it can generate some
explosive power when pushed to. It was a very stable kite and I guess some people like them as wave kites. Makes for a good high wind kite too.
Better kite than the Pulse. But it was short lived in the Flysurfer line up. I don't think it really spoke to many kiters in any significant way.
One of those kites that if you like it, you probably like it a lot. Not a bad kite just not popular. Being water relaunchable doesn't hurt in terms
of bang for the buck.
