rent a demo flysurfer 8m $75/month

curious to try something different here... anyone wanting to rent a demo 8mSpeed4 for afew weeks? month? season? until summer? whatever, i'm open to it, email me for arrangements.

considering $75/month and buyer pays shipping which can be either returned back to me or direct arrangements with the next kite renter

we'll have to write up repair terms for damage outside of normal wear and hopefully the honor system will keep the kite alive.

Is this the one I borrowed last summer? The one I wanted to buy? The only bar kite that would fit in my FB quiver? One sweet kite!
This is a great opportunity!

I'm curious. My 8m neo is working fine but doesn't have the same finesse the new kites have. Do you demo/rent a 12m? My 11m is in the same boat.

If you all don't try out this kite, you have no room to endorse your own kite, what ever it is. Just my OPINION on a great, low wind, power house, lite weight depower kite.

I am interested, especially once it warms up. I hope to get out on the snow soon but I'm not sure how likely that is.

An 8m S4? That does sound tempting. Though, I wouldn't be interested in it as a light wind kite. My Psycho4 8m is getting long in the tooth. Not ready to replace it yet, but curious how the S4 compares.

Speed4 Deluxe will kick Psycho's @ss in means of performance, stability and lightwind. 8m is a small size thought and I guess it gotta be your landkite/snowkite or a hydrofoil wing.

I could buggy with the speed 4 in 5 to 7mph wind.
My guess is you could board on the beach in 3 to 6mph, the flexboard and my 220 lbs would be no problem.

My 8m Psycho4 is my go-to kite for water with winds over 25mph. On snow, 20+, buggy 15-20+. As it is depower, I'd be surprised if it has the power to get you going in sub 10mph winds on anything but ice... And if it can, then I would suspect I would be severely over powered in the conditions in which I fly my Psycho4.

I was actually surprised at how light the total amount of weight was for the kite. And as a fluke, I got it out just to play with it. After a drug me down the beach for a bit I decided to try out the buggy. At that point I fell in love with the kite.
I'm not a depower kite fan, but this kite change my attitude towards them. I would have no problem adding this kite to my quiver along with all the other sizes in this particular kite.

I don't know how well this kite would do on water, as I can only speculate. I do know that Th e 8 m speed 4 deluxe, that day was equal to and 8 m fix bridal kite.
Jon actually called me that afternoon and asked when he would get his kite back, and I told him I was going to keep it. And for the record I asked Him if I could buy it. I was politely told that it was his go to kite and there was no selling it. I am still holding my breath, ha ha.

That is crazy man. Maybe I will have to give that kite a go. I can't even tell you the number of insane high wind sessions I've had on my 8m Psycho4, so it's kind of hard to fathom replacing it...

My question for you bigkid, would be, what do you think of the high wind potential of the 8m S4?

That wind range sounds about like what I would expect. My 8m does about that without the smoothness of a flysurfer. I was out once and it started gusting to 40mph or more and I just couldn't keep my board on the water very well. I was skipping from swell to swell just trying to get back in. On hardpack beach my 8 will go down below 10 but just for cruising. 5 to 7mph is pretty great for the low end.

Is the speed4 available for rent?

Everything i read about them says it will replace my blowups and do well on land but i am very hesitant to spend money without trying. These things arent cheap. Is this kite available for rent right now? we're mid windy season here :)
