I haven't had a chance to ride Speed3 12m.
I have Speed3 19m Deluxe and back in October I did demo 15m Sonic-FR which inherited couple of features introduced by Flysurfer first in 8/10m Speed4
(leading edge battens, no jetflaps, redesigned air intakes). I got the same lowest end out of 15m Sonic as of my 19m Speed3 that day. And as I later
verified the specs Flysurfer posted show 7 knots for both of them, so I'd trust their numbers.
Wing efficiency and design advancements matter and once I find a new good home for my 19m I probably going to want to get the smaller Sonic size to
ride.
Size choice also depends on prevalent winds where you ride, your weight and riding abilities. Board size and line length make difference as well. I
have extension line set to improve low end of a smaller kite when needed. 10m/21m overlap is 12-17 knot range, it's not a wide overlap but 21m is a
huge wing too. I'd love to own the whole line of Flysurfers so I always have a perfect match to the wind but it's kind of out of my spending brackets
and 10m Speed4 as my regular kite + lightwind 19m Speed3 Deluxe combination has been a good set for me as of foils.
