2.5m Flexi Rage vs 3.0m PL Hornet?
I'm wanting another kite for static flying and having a hard time deciding if it's worth it. I do own a 3m Hornet but one thing that is kind of
bothering me is that it seems to be geared more towards beginners. Don't get me wrong, the Hornet is a great wing to fly but I do want something more
amusing to fly static. Will the 2.5m Rage have too much overlap with the Hornet? Overall, how would the Hornet compare to it?
I would prefer something small that I can take on trips, (which both of them are). I would assume the Rage has a wider wind range and is faster
through the window? While the Hornet is slower/more stable? Although it is difficult to say that since I have never flown a Rage. So which one would
be more fun to static fly? Would appreciate any input! Thanks!

The Rage gets my vote. They are super fun to fly static. They turn fast and will perform well in a wide range of wind speed. They will use a large
area of the wind window. If BEC still has it for sale the 2.6m Peter Lynn ViperS performs quite similar to the Rage. I quite often fly the ViperS 2.6m
side by side with a friend on the Rage 2.5m. They are quite similar and both a lot of fun.

I'm late to the post but in case you have not decided or tabled your decision, I'll offer my input too.
I'm heavily invested in both Flexifoil and Peter Lynn FB kites. The only Hornet I have is a 2.0 which I use to teach new fliers. I have a Rage 2.5
and it would hands down be my choice over the Hornet 3.0. In all honesty I'd probably actually choose the Flexifoil Sting 3.3 also over the Hornet
3.0. My Flexifoils are my favorite kites throughout the range in my quiver with the exception of my PL Viper S in 6.8. I own Flexifoils in the
Bullet, Rage, and Blurr series and am familiar with the Sting as I recommended the 3.3 to a friend who was just starting out and it has been a great
beginner kite that she has gotten a lot of use out of. Personally, I'm really partial to the Rage series and my 4.7 Rage gets the most use out of
any other kite in my FB quiver.

If you want something more advanced and a little faster, check out a Reactor. It is a kick in the pants for sure. Fastest kite I have ever flown was
my 3.5m Reactor. I only sold it because I discovered I don't like small kites. I rather have a 4-6m depower than a smaller FB for the same wind range.

Thanks for the replies!
I have figured I would go with either a Viper S 2.6 or Flexi Rage 2.5. Both seem to be great kites from what I have read for flying static.
DK, isn't the reactor leaned towards more as a buggy engine? I would imagine they could be used to fly static but would be more amusing in higher
winds? I may consider one; haven't heard much of them being used as a static kite though.
Thanks again for all the suggestions!
