As promised, Video of me flying my new to me Ozone Cult 3.5

Youtube 2nd flight Ozone Cult 3.5

Here is my 2nd flight of my new to me Cult 3.5. There was next to no wind, a bit patchy, but put a smile on my face. I'm enjoying powerkiting, bring on my DIY buggy and the local beach.

PS. I'm flying this next to my local small lake, you won't see it it's behind me. About 3k long by 5oom wide~ there is space for me to fly static, but not enough for the buggy.

The big advantage??? It's 2 minutes down the road!!:)

The above was my 2nd flight of a proper power kite. I come from flying a cheap 2 line foil I brought 2nd hand, which I have flown off and on for the last 3 years. But now I can't wait to build my first buggy, and look forward to having a few more kites in the future.

Looks like you've got the hang of it - and a nice place to fly! I love flying big kites static in reasonable wind conditions. Gives me a chance to diddle with, and adjust brake lines and get a full sense of where in the boundary of the wind window the kite begins to develop power and how it behaves at the zenith.

Well done for a 2nd flight! I can't get enough of my 3.5 Rage that I use for static flying.

I feel that the 3-4m size is perfect for static. Anything over for me and it gets too tiring without a strop. You got yourself a good kite! :D

Have done and will do! Flew at the same spot yesterday afternoon for a 1/2 hour, there was more wind, i'd call it a steady breeze, not light nor strong.

Tried out a few more basic skills, turning with brakes, backing the kite down, flying at just one side of the window. Amazed how tight you can turn with brakes added in, makes the kite super agile.

I tried to relaunch from nose down using differing amounts of brake, to no sucess, whats the technique to this?

Oh, i reaaally need a buggy! might have to get cracking on that project!
