Vegan food in Primm ?
Hi,
I just registered for NABX and already found tons of information on the NABX website and here about the event. I am a vegan and was wondering what to
expect there. Searching the internet, I only found information about the casinos and the food chains located inside and that there is a grocery store
at the entrance to the lake bed.
I'm going to bring some food anyways, but are there any veggie veterans with some more information ? Hey, I'm not expecting a Whole foods store, just
curious what to bring and what I can buy there ...
Thanks,
Boris

Sorry, that is something that's always bugged some of us. There is not much food choice if you are really into eating right. There might be
something inside the outlet mall, but it seems every time we get something good there, they aren't there the next time we come.
The hotel food is pretty stock meat and potatoes, which gets to be pretty boring fast. Tony Romas is a high point for many of us.
Check out the outlet mall for some variety but no stores nearby. You have to go all the way to Las Vegas to find whole foods.
Good luck, and i hope you find some others check in on this and have some better suggestions than what i've lamely put up here.....

Dean covered the bases, but I find that most any restaurant can provide a vegan or close-to-vegan meal. You will have to ask, though. One of my
favorites is Carls Jr (a local fast food burger place). I order a 6 dollar burger with no meat and a side of fried zucchini. Not the healthiest of
choices but still vegetarian. There is one between the hotels and the lakebed entrance. Also, there is a Panda Express inside Buffalo Bills. I have
found most sit-down places will work hard to accomodate any requests as well.
I will be driving a Toyota van pulling a 5x8 enclosed trailer from Arizona. Come on over and introduce yourself, we veg*ns need to stick together!
We also can share ideas about where and what to eat while at NABX!
Counting days already!

Thanks for the replies so far, that's kinda what I expected. I think some of the food chains might be able to modify their meals to make em vegan.
I've had some vegan Burritos at La Salsa here before. Panda Express uses chicken broth even in their veggie meals though.
Nevermind, I'll just bring my own stuff. Too bad, all my camping gear is back in Germany, so I have to stay in a casino. Maybe someone has a free spot
on the grill.
Looking forward to meet you all,
Boris

Vegans of the world, unite!
I'm also vegan, and will be packing food. I never expect people to have food for me on these outings, so I bring as many options as I can. Maybe
there can be some collaboration on this. Well, maybe not, but it's a possibility.
