Dear fellow PKF brothers and sisters:
It appears we have a scammer in our midst, having just arrived on PKF yesterday using the name Irenene. Through shear acts of serendipity "she"
appears to miraculously own equipment that various ones of us have posted about in the WANTED section.
To date there have been four postings by this person, all phrased more or less the same way. I received an email yesterday asking if I was still
interested in purchasing a used 4m Ozone Access V6 (which I still am, but that is besides the point). I list my email address in my member profile so
that made sense.
In response to the email I asked various things such as the person's PKF user name, why they were selling the kite, and requested a general
description. What I got back was a copied and paste series of paragraphs which were the sales and marketing description that one reads on the Ozone
website. Here's the kicker: this person sent two photos of an access kite that were obviously amateur, not stock. I just did a quick Google Images
search for Ozone Access V6 and sure enough, there they were, taken from the KB Kiteboarding website. I've got to say, I sort of admire that extra
effort.
Irenene - if you are legit then please join our community the right way. Introduce yourself, share some legitimate kiting stories, be polite, and
take your time with us. This is a community of enthusiastic and supportive-of-one-another power kiters. Coming onto our site and in one day just
sort of spray yourself all over the place responding to WANTED adds with shockingly exactly what folks are looking for is not the stuff that builds
trust.
Brent - your response was classic!
