Sunset Session SSI *VIDEO*

Hey gang, so as usual, I spent the week after JIBE with the family on Saint Simons Island, GA. Last year, I figured out that I could log some primo time in the buggy seat between the hours of 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm... sunset sessions. The tide is perfect, the beach goers have all gone home except for the stragglers and locals, and East Beach is just as awesome as Jekyll Island as far as hardback and size is concerned.

I got to know JimSSI pretty well at JIBE this year, so he met me a couple of nights, and another local, Johnny showed up every night as well. These have been some of my best unadulterated and uninterrupted sessions in the buggy this year and I caught the last one on video and on GPS... hitting a new PB of 28+mph.

So I invite you to enjoy: Sunset Session SSI

Thanks guys!

Nice video Spencer! SSI looks like a pretty nice place. I was impressed also with how you managed to keep going over the soft pack sand.

Thanks Randy, but that wasn't really soft pack. The "Dune" at East Beach has some sediment in it and it is relatively firm. As you walk onto it from the parking lot, there is a LONG stretch of it until you get to the hard pack, but it is soft enough that it isn't great for riding on. I had trouble getting back up wind, so I decided to cut across it (East Beach is kind of a point here) and it worked out for me... the Nasas have so much grunt that I really plowed right through it on my midi/golf cart tire regiment.
