This guy was thinking " I have the experience to handle soaring safely ( probably has done it in snow? ) . I have spent thousands on the right gear
and conditions are perfect. I put in my time and KNOW I can pull this off safely. "
This guy and the MORONS in your other posts don't have anything in common. ( Pansh kites and an obviously awful buggy, oh my ! ) Who didn't guess that
thin thing on wheel barrow wheels was going to break in the 1st few seconds of seeing it?
Please don't be put off by the back lash to your other posts. Fact is, we are losing locations all over the world because videos by people who harm
our reputation are what folks trying to shut us down see / use. You are new to the sport but once you get it all together you will better understand
why This video and your others are very different. Stick with us and you will find a real great group who only want the best for you and the sport.

I was thinking this was an awesome show of skill and what's possible with the right training, equipment and environment, while keeping everything
extremely safe. He didn't pilot over large populations, he didn't pilot in gusty conditions, and he had a floaty kite of high quality that looked to
be newer/well maintained. He didn't try to use it as a paraglider.
It's the exact opposite of the video I hate with a passion of the Gokova Murphy Cliff Project, where he jumps 909 meters, off a cliff/mountain and
floats over people, buildings, and various other objects, and has no parachute and isn't using a paraglider, but four small fragile kite lines. Worse
is even before the jump he ignores people down wind, or in the danger zones if something bad happens prior to launch, just for the pictures.
I might humbly suggest, if you want to keep up in the vain of your other posts, you might consider doing it as a single thread, which will keep the
board a lot tidier (many of us use the recent posts tab), and keep it more consolidated for those who want to comment once/have an issue with it, so
they can choose to not partake and easily avoid it. Maybe "YouTube idiot of the Week" or "What Not to Do: Video Examples of ignoring safety and
training". Might also be a better format / way for those of us choosing to weight in, to talk about what the person did wrong, or the few small points
they got right between bad decisions (or bad luck).
Gotcha and thanks a lot Blade and Volock. It's good to be here with all you guys and gals on PKF!
Btw: I hope you don't mind if I break wind every once in a while?
:bigok:
I'm OK with this for as long as I can keep the skills to remain upwind of you!
I hope you have been following iceliz journey on here ? Our most recent example of somebody getting a spanking for pushing the limits a bit too far, a
bit too early. MOST of us have been spanked. Push it too far too soon and it can happen to you.
I enjoy your passion and good sense of humour. Both of those will make this sport and this life a lot more enjoyable!
Please note how Jesse talks about how planned out this stunt was ! It's NOT something that us mortals can do. Jesse was dangling from a kite in his
diapers.
While both the Jesse and Alex videos show much better discretion (vs the video I named and didn't link) in terms of location (minimizing risks for
others), I still question doing this on a four line kite vs a paraglider in terms of safety, I mean a single line fails on that kite and it's not
controllable anymore. While their abilities are beyond impressive, the safety implications greatly worry me.
