Peak 1 on new bar -> good
As my 9m Peak 2 is out of the picture now, after a crash in a tree - I then still had an Infinity 2.0 bar and lineset intact. Also I have an older
Peak 1 6m which has the Infinity light bar that came with the first generation of PeaS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s. It is a lightweight bar with a big flaw, it's
center hole is too narrow so it 'bites' on the center line there. This makes it hard or impossible to depower while turning, depending on how much
you're turning. This is a big drawback if you're trying to fly the kite smoothly.
So I have for a long time wanted to get a better bar on the old 'disco queen', the 6m Peak 1 with the pink streak, my first kite.
Having a 6m P2 in my quiver, I thought WTH - let's put the longer bar from the 9m on it - my guess was it wouldn't be all wrong with more steering
input. It is most always on 6m extensions and a longer bar will need less steering over the bar on the neoprene handles. That way I got the smaller
Infinity 2.0 bar off the new 6 and onto the old one!
This was WAY COOL for the old Peak!! It really got some extended quality in it on a
better bar. It flew SUPER NICE after I tied in the steering lines quite a bit, I had to make 2 new knots with the same stepping that there's
already 3 of (if this is permanent I'll cut of 2 or so). But I ended up with a Peak 1 with super depower and steering, and
it also now has a good bar and a trim system that works exactly as it should!! I was such a happy camper today. The kite was even muuuch more
quiet than before (?!), and it behaved very sweet and mild. With the lower AR (among other things) it flies somewhat different than the Peak 2.
Recommended for some safe ATB.

How much is the new infinity bar and lineset?.... I could Google it, but then I'd have to do all the work
I personally have a Minty fresh pink 6m Peak 1 and was curious about that after reading your post above

You go girl! That could be an excellent call. With your stated issue with the original bar which even if it was in perfect shape would still have the
small pass-through hole, this could be a great direction to take things. I personally appreciate having the added flexibility of the clam cleat trim
adjuster on the Peak2's as having it allows you to broaden the high end of the safe wind range for any given size. As an added bonus, a trimmed in P2
DPs even more when you let the bar out then when the trim line is fully extended.
Finally, as Chris (fewd) taught me a while back, a nice way to park a P2 on the ground in high wind is to pull the trim strap all the way in, take the
kite in nose first and then let the bar fully out. Play your cards right and you can nicely pin the kite to the ground that way, hook the chicken loop
over a buggy foot peg for example and get out to the kite to pin it down. Handy move that when you are flying solo. Particularly useful for the 4m
and 6m P2s I've found being as you tend to fly them in higher winds, so solo landings can be a bit, err, challenging. :karate:

First glance, they are $500. Better off waiting for someone to sell a complete so you at least get a kite. Another option which I've looked into which
would be just as good is a suitable fls 4 line kitesurf bar used. Should be able to find one around $150.

That would be the way I'd go too. The one nuance I'd consider is to go with a 4.5 lineset, not just a straight 4-liner. Maybe all the recent FS bars
are like that already; I'm not sure.

I get it. Might not be a bad call to put a WANTED sign up here on PKF on the off chance somebody wants to unload something suitable on the cheap and
keeping one eye open on eBay, etc. I bet you could get luck that way. Worth a shot; you could always turn down a deal if it nets out to too much
dough.

I had an old pl venom (arc) and it had an old griffin bar with pl chicken loop that I think had a 4.5 line set up. I'm guessing it would have worked
perfectly on my peak.
I like the simplicity of the peak 1 bar and I don't notice bar bite at all anymore. Guess I'm just used to flying it and avoid it without thinking
about it, BUT a bar upgrade would be a welcomed improvement. There are so many used kite surf bars floating around that it's almost a crime I haven't
fiddled with it yet.

Flysurfer sells some at their webshop, but maybe not cheaply enough.
http://shop.flysurfer.com/accessories-3.html?cat=259
There's a Infinty 2.0 bar there for 299 Euros, but I'm not sure if it's with a lineset. They also sell used Peak 1's on the webshop.
I myself had to back out of a full bridle refit because it got too expensive.
