Nov 20-23: Anyone want to join (Me - jeepersjoey, Paul) in Ivanpah?

Is it really a vacation if the company shuts for 2 weeks (Thanksgiving and Christmas) which requires your to spend all your PTO???

Taking advantage of this down-time again this year...I am going to Ivanpah.

I arrive Saturday, Nov 19th and then pick up the wife Wednesday night, Nov 23rd to play in Vegas the rest of the week.

If anyone is free during this time (19-23) and would like to join me, I'd love the company!

To help entice you, I will bringing my new, updated, fancy-shamancy kite buggy trailer to test. If you remember, last year I brought Ver 1.0 and it spent more time upside down than rolling. Very funny video if you have not seen it:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=crCLyhTsJdU

Paul - U2U sent

I love the idea of an interim Ivanpah run! Once a year for IBX is just too darn infrequent, both for seeing my buds and for riding on the playa!!:thumbup:

Elemental to my joining the festivities will be installing one of Jeff's (BigKid) venerable AQR systems on my chariot to give my bride and me peace of mind that I won't be looking down at the playa from On High. BigKid and I spoke yesterday and are moving forward, so it looks as if I will be the fourth person out there enjoying the fruits of his labor and toil (which were significant!).

Go Dog Go! :bigok:

I don't miss a chance to see and ride with friends unless I'm blocked. This year is more complicated than most but I'll make every effort to join in.

My wife said the most beautiful words imaginable to me today. "I really think you should go" in reference to this trip. Now that's what I'm talking about! :D

While existing company is fantastic and all one needs for a great buggy party, it would be super if others were able to also come down. Rooms at Primm Resort were a whopping $39 a night. I'll be driving down Monday morning, 11/21 timing my arrival for midday when the winds should be picking up and will leave mid afternoon Wednesday, 11/23 to drive home for t-day. Paul is in a touch earlier. I think Bob may be hopping on the Playa on the 20th but I could be wrong about that.

Anybody???

Awesome! Three is a group. Four is a crowd!

Anyone else going to join us now that there is a crowd gathering at Ivanpah for Thanksgiving (well, sorta the week before Thanksgiving)?

My boy and myself have been talking about it and we might have to come down for some fun.
I guess we need to get some 4 ply barrows first though.

I just sent Slapbasswoody a text on his cell. Fingers and toes crossed that he can make the trip. I suspect his son Jack is in school which might make it tough. EDIT - he can't make this trip but looks forward to seeing everybody at IBX2018 and sends his best to all!
