07 frenzy 7.5m
Through my Craigslist snooping I happened to stumble across a heck of a deal on a flexifoil buggy. Managed to convince the guy to sit on it by
agreeing to buy his frenzy too. All told I got both for $200 so I was happy.... very happy.
Flew the frenzy the next day at sunset beach. Was impressed with everything but the bar, which while functional is not something I'd seriously
considering making a tool I use frequently.
This brings me to wanting to build my own bar, however before I do perhaps some of you have recollections of the 07 frenzys that you'd like to share
with me. So I can see if this is a Kite I really want to make part of my quiver, or sent down the road for at a stupid price. I know massive quiver
overlap.

The 04-05 Frenzy was great. Raw power for days and tough as nails.
We all had them locally, it was the go to. After 06 everyone bailed on it. Wasn't the same animal.

What exactly are you saying? 06-07 were underpowered for their sizes or not very durable? Quirky flying characteristics?
Seemed super stable when I flew, hard to get a good feeling on power as it was flying but we'll below what I would used a 7.5m for (10 gusting to 16).

Sorry, should be more clear. Hard to quantify but they had made a significant change. Much lighter bar pressure, seemingly less power yet more
lifty. (Which I still don't understand). Was this worse? Depends on what you like. After getting a lot of hours on the earlier kites it was just not
my tastes. Perhaps if I have it some time my opinion would have been different. But we were just getting into arcs and we all went from bridles and
open cells to no bridles and closed cells. Which were way nicer to fly here.
And now, bridles foils are better at gust handling than ever. Arcs have less of an advantage. When we first started carrying Ozone we still weren't
to thrilled by the Frenzy. The V10 changed this and now it's one of my favorite kites again. The 9m especially.
The Frenzy after 05-6 was definitely better in gusts and much more stabile. But lacked the grunt that I like. Which can be said for a lot of kites
from that period really.

Thanks for that answer feyd. Sounds like since I got it for a song and it is essentially new it would be worth my time to update the bar and safety
systems and give it a go. I appreciate the thoroughness in your answer.

Static flew it at the front edge of an incoming storm the other day. I can see what you are saying. I would call it not very grunty but explosively
powerful especially in the upward direction. Not bad in slightly gusty winds even with its limited bar throw but it's clamcleat is a pain to get to
catch. Several the trim line slipped through the cleat and went back to full power. Fun!
