Crossfire II 4m
So for the hell of it, i peruse kites on ebay from time to time just to see whats out there and i found someone selling a brand new unopened Crossfire
II 4m for $690. Seems a bit steep to me for a kite thats out of production, even its its new.

I sent a message to the seller saying that he was way over priced and that a used 8m was going for $175 on here. I told i wasnt trying to be a dick,
just help him to find it a home and him some cash for his pocket. He thinks its a very reasonable price, lol.

LMAO! I wouldnt mind having some smaller Crossfires eventually, but you could probably buy a 2,3 and 4m mini quiver of em with enough left over for
some beer for the same if not maybe less money.

I have a set of Crossfire II's (2,3 &4) very good kites and my favorites for many conditions... But that price is beyond ridiculous..
Now the fact that it's out of production IMO is pretty sad.. It's a higher performer than the Beamer AND a faster kite than the Toxic with better
upwind performance.. With AoA Bridles from the factory, it is a hard kite to beat.. Only drawback is flying it static, you have a smaller wind window
and the kite can luff at the edges of the window. Crossfires do not like to stall.. Keep them Moving.. But you owning the 5M already knew ALL of that
I'm sure..

My 5m CF II was the scariest kite I've ever flown except maybe a 3 -4 m Pansh Ace. It would fold over at the nose with absolutely no warning or
apparent change in conditions. It was a beautiful kite though. It's the only kite to ever injure me.
That eBay price is close to original retail for a 6-7 year old kite.

There is no consistency with kite values or worth. Everyone is different. Most are simply out to get the max possible. Not that I blame them but it
makes the market very wishy washy and unpredictable. One person sells a kite for $200. A week later someone else sells the exact same kite for $450. 6
months later the guy that bought it for $200 turned around and sells it for $400. It's almost comparable to buying and selling drugs. If you want it
bad enough you'll pay whatever you have to to get it. If you're the one selling it you'll take the buyer for as much as you can possibly get. The sad
part is this seems to be the accepted way of doing Business when it comes to kites. Granted there are a few...and I mean few that seem to try to price
their wares for what they are worth and not like they are Crack Cocaine. I don't pretend to have an answer. Just an observation.
But then again...this is an addiction.

Thats similar to an Outlaw 6m i saw on ebay for almost $500 a lil while back. I emailed the seller to tell him i bought a 10m for significantly less
that was in great condition. His reply was that in his area, its a very desirable kite and they sell for more as such.
Theres a reason i prefer to buy used kites here, other addicts know the value of their wares and tend to help feed addictions, lol.
