poor boy pulki sled

here's the sled I put together when I discovered how much stuff I like to take on the ice. the hinge and pole attachments are rubber from the inside of one of those magic hoses from TV that failed. its like surgical tubing.
the pull is a xc pole with a snap to hook to my harness.
the latches are those tarp bungee things from hardware store.
if I ever use it for touring it can flip over and runs the same.
also it can be run open and pile stuff high.

When my daughter was 2-3 years i made a simular set up to pull her when we went snow shoeing. I used a telephone pole climbers belt. From the two side loops i attached (2) 6 foot long fiberglass rods with eye loops at each end. I crossed the rods in the middle and attached them to two eye loops at the front sides of a simular sled. Bicycle toe clip straps were used to connect the eye loops. I attached fins under the back of the sled to help it track straighter on side hills. I made an adaptor for a standard chair mounted, shorty high chair. We used it a few times and then she out grew the seat. I still have most components other than the chair and the adaptor. I also used this setup to carry gear in for an overnight camping trip. It was a fun project, i wish i had the opportunity to use it more.

Nice! I've been thinking of making something like that - I'll have to keep your idea in mind. Thanks for sharing!

the sled makes good personal wind shelter on breaks.
I attach the pull pole to kite anchor.
