OK, I have some one that really wants my obsession stunt kite and they are offering me their ballistic 3.6 staight up trade or their Beamer I 5.0 (yes the original beamer!) plus cash. We haven't decided on how much cash in addition to my obsession to trade for the beamer 5.0 but I'm wanted to get some input from others.I know the beamer I is an old kite and turns like a snail, but it has pretty decent pull. I have flown it and had a great time with it. The Ballistic has some great reviews on it and is really quick, but I haven't flown that one yet. I'm looking to get into a good traction kite for Kite skating or buggying and some good old scudding, I don't have much expendable money to buy a new one, I have been watching ebay but the prices usually end up out of my range by the time bidding is over. Anyways, I have a chance to trade one of my kites (although it is my absolute favorite kite) for a beginning power kite and wanted to get some advice on which would be the better trade, thanks for the input!

IMHO, keep your favorite kite, save some scratch and go for the beamer II or beamer III, and then make the friend loan you one of the kites whilst you save for one of your own.
