Bridle diagrams or specs.

My 2012 Ozone Access needs some bridle adjustments and I am looking for diagrams or specs on the bridle. Lines on the bar are all equal so they are not the problem. Kite has a crease running from the bottom right wing tip up to the center of the kite. Bar needs to be given several inches of correction to the right to keep kite neutral. This condition provided some very exciting rides a few days ago when powered up and going "down" large dunes not realizing the bar position needed several inches of correction to keep the kite as high in the window as needed to control speed.

I've never seen a bridle diagram or specs for a commercially made kite, so getting one may be a problem. Perhaps the manufacturer can provide one. If you don't get one, it still may not be a big deal.

First, I would suspect a knot or tangle, so look carefully for that on the "bad" side.

If that doesn't show anything it sounds like one side of the kite is good and the other one is off. I would measure the bridles on both side and see if there is a discrepancy on the side with the crease compared to the "good" side.

I'm not really familiar with that kite, perhaps someone else will chime in, particularly if this problem is something that they have seen before.

I notice you have several sizes for the same kite. Perhaps looking at one of the other sizes will give you a clue.

Good luck.

If you can't get it sorted out, you can send it to Powerzone to tune it up. I did that with a Montana I once had. They work on more than just Flysurfers... I think $100 (+shipping there and back) will get you an hours worth of Tuning... don't quote me on that as it was a couple years ago.

Thank you for all the good ideas. Today I plan to go out and measure each bridle segment and compare the two sides of the kite. I will share the results if I find anything. I have been flying Ozone depower for a long time and have zero problems.

Problem Solved

In learning how to tune my Ozone Access kite I learned that measuring bridles is like measuring lengths of spaghetti in a boiling pot and the simplest answer is easy to over look. On the kite there is a knot on the "speed" line that can be moved to adjust the position of the bridles on the bottom edge of the kite. Each side has this easy to move knot to balance the kite shape and level the bar. Wasted a lot of time but did learn how to keep my kites tuned.

Wasted a lot of time? Just the opposite. It just took you a bit longer to figure it out than you were expecting.
Besides, it's better to waste your own time than have others waste it for you. Boy have others wasted a lot of my time, good thing I have a lot to waste.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
