The interesting thing is that Branson didn't look like he'd been kitesurfing for long himself. So how did he manage to pull off that photo with the (less than fully clothed) girl riding on his back?

Branson was using a foil for the first time, while Obama used a board. The news reported it was a challenge to see who could go further.
