So..... how does the Blur compare with the sting?
I am considering a replacement for my profoil.
The Blurr is a completely different animal to the Sting.
It is more of an intermediate kite with plenty of grunt and power.
Although the power is more aggressive the kite is still stable and has not got as much lift as say a Blade.
It soaks up gusts and will give you loads of yahoooooooo!!!!
Well worth getting if you want to move up from the Sting.

Deal was just too good to pass up. Always been curious about this Kite. Had to get both the 3.5 and 5.0. Best deal on lines right now is still at
Pansh. Those blue/white lines are real nice. A bit thick, but until something else comes around will work for now.
Also always been interested in the HQ Toxic. Just never seen a deal on one. If I was a kite company, it would just seem like I would want people
flying my kites. Have all the most active kiters flying my gear. Of all the kites I have and have had and I`ve never had; it just seems like it would
steam them up knowing I don`t currently have it in my quiver. Brand visibility and cachet.
I used to collect knifes. Some brands are highly desired and sought after. I was at the lake one day walking the shore line. I saw a knife on the
ground and I didn`t recognize it and I thought I should. I was quite perplexed that I didn`t. I turned it over to see the brand. I kept walking. I
thought that spoke volumes about the brand. A lost and found knife and it wasn`t even worth picking up. Now had it been some other brand; it may have
been real hard to walk away from it.
Not saying anything bad about Kite brands. Just about marketing, branding, and being sought after and desired. I`ve just never found the price on a
Toxic appealing enough to make it happen.

Not really sure that that's really a fair comparison, I would hazard a guess that there are waaaaaaay more knife companies than kite companies. Once
you step away from Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, CRKT, Boker, SOG, Gerber, Schrade, Cold Steel and some of the other main stream production lines,
things get pretty wild and wooly.
Expect BHK, Spartan, Bark River, and a host of others in the US aren't really household names. Once you start looking at knife makers in other
countries, brand recognition becomes more a matter of word of mouth and collaborations than good or bad advertising. I expect I would have never
heard of Vox knives except for their collaborations with Boker. Knowledge of new makers like Ruike are still going to take some time before it
trickles down among buyers.
Flexifoil is a still a bit of weird duck as they still haven't recommitted to their land kites yet.
Did you ever snap a pic of the knife on the lake? Would be curious as to what it was.

These Blurr kite prices are give away prices. Heres my theory. Kite was released at a high price to zero fanfare and sold zero. So now Flexi is
blowing them out so they can sell clothes and exercise equipment. I dont expect to see these restocked. Just like with their water kites and kite
buggies. The Blade may likely go the same way. They can sell Stings and 2 line kites all day long because they are cheap and sold complete.
Generous of Flexi to give these kites away though.

IIRC the Blurr was one of two models released to replace the Bullet. Many (including me) regard the Flexi Bullet as one of their best kites ever.. The
redesign though took two directions, one towards Speed and the other towards "grunt" The two kites that emerged were the Rage and the Blurr. The
Rage quickly became a favorite for may powerkiters/traction kiters with great stability and plenty of power to propel you in the direction you wanted
to go..The Blurr apparently targeted a slightly more niche market of the static fliers.. Being faster through the air it was more fun to fly static
than the Rage but that speed was a touch counter productive in the Buggy since you had to concentrate a bit more on the kite.. the Blurr does not like
to sit still or park..
This is just my perception and is 100% speculation on my part but it fits everything I saw with the Bullet, the Rage, and the Blurr lines..
Well... I pulled the trigger on the 3.5m.
Chris, the order is placed.
Rick, I sent you an email with a pic attached. It occured to me later that you or your internet security might not let it get through.
Riffclown, it was your suggestion that this kite would be fun to static fly that pushed me over the edge as Victoria, BC doesn't really afford any
good buggy locations. ( now I just need a symphony2.2.4 and, YES Rick, maybe a peak or 2:smug:

I flew Canadian Geralds 5m blurr at the 2016 spring SOBB and liked it. I put a note in my phone as a kite that I would possibly buy.
I pulled the trigger on a 5m. Now I will need to have a 5m kite sale. I now will own four and I dont really care for three of them. At least two
were inexpensive.
Colin - never saw an email but I just sent you a U2U

If you like static flying, you bet you need a Symphony 2.2.4. Let me know I'll gladly do the conversion for you.
The five meter has been out before and then they added a few more that again got sold out. I'm not sure that they aren't putting up a few at a
time...keep watching.
I had a5 and 7m. I liked them really well. I can't remember why I sold them now. They were just under Blade pricing when I bought mine. And there was
the coolest of promo videos for it. I had it downloaded in HD. Here is a low res version.

So far I've only buggied the 3.5 and 5 in the same light wind. Very smooth flying kite. The 5 looks real nice in the sky. Interesting the factory
AAA setting is on the first plastic barrel where the Rage is set at the third one.
Kite kinda reminds me of an Ozone Method. Looking forward to flying them properly powered up.
