Montana 2 9.5

WOW!! Quality, appearance and performance all in one package!! Thanks AC you da man! Whats this thing gonna be like when it beds in and winds are 18 to 22mph!!! Im flying two demo depowers which are different brands. All I will say that this is by far the better of the two, not even close! This thing was turning on its tips in approx 10 mph winds! Winds did get up to around 15--fast, grunty and very lifty, but controlable lift. Only my first flight but at this point very impressed! Made a couple nice runs on the board but most of my time was spent static-- reverse launchs, deploying safety systems, working the window!

That looks and sounds good. I used to have Montana I 7M but didn't like wing tip folding problem. Is that fixed in Montana II? Tim @ HQ will come out to NABX with some demo kites. Can't wait to try out Montana II. - Brian

Brian

No probs with tips folding. However, it does turn on its tips. I thought that very impressive for a 10m foil--fast, and lifty too!

Hey Dom, I had that very same dishwasher in my house (with almond trim as opposed to black) until December when the timing mechanism broke.

That's one hell of a unit :smug:

Oh, and that kite thing looks cool too ;)

Got a chance to demo a 7m Montana 2 and have a 5m as well. Both have extremely great flying characteristics. Haven't had a chance to really get the 7m out with the board yet (just did some scudding and tried out the flying of it to get a feel for it) so I'm holding back on doing a full review of both.

If the 9.5 flies anywhere near as good, it's definitely gotta be an awsome kite. HQ has definitely come a long way from the original Montana.
