Standard wheel

I need a wheel. One of the standard Peter Lynn ABS 2.5"x8.0" I don't need a tire or bearings. Although if you got some in good shape I'm open. I'm also open to aluminum wheels 2.5 or 4 inch. If you have a set of three. But all I really need is one standard PL wheel. A Wind of Change wants almost as much for shipping as they want for the wheel. So I'm hoping to find some possible used options. Short of that. I might just have to order some aluminum sysmic wheels

Go with either and then go to where there is wind.

Check with bigkid. He had some a while back.

This probably isn't what you are looking for, but if you need something just to get going send me a PM. I have to check the size, but I think the tires are 10 inch.

Thanks Cheeks:
I appreciate the offer. But I've contacted Sysmic about a set of rims. Brand new to my door from across the pond is 1/3 less then your asking price. So you should hang on to those gold plated beauties.

Hey Randy. Can you give me a tire size on those bad boys. Also possibly a part number off the bearings. So I can determine fit. If they are intact 10" they won't work. Unless the tires are in good usable shape. In which case I need to look up the specs for the bearings to see if I can make them work

This isn't something I need to get rolling. I'm planning a trip to the Playa and don't want to run my Duro's. I have two good barrows and one bad that I was planning to swap out. I picked up 3 new Carlisle barrow tires for $20 a piece. Now I just need one PL ABS wheel. But I'm considering a set of Sysmics and swapping them out on my Nanco's then I'll have to PL wheels from the Nanco's for my Barrows. Wow...that sounded less confusing in my head.

Blitz - that's a little bit of alright right there. I followed your thought process perfectly. Like me, you have two distinctly different riding conditions (sand and playa) so naturally you need two sets of wheels. I hope my sysmic info was useful; sent you what I had. Soon as spit you'll be one bad mo fo.

Hey, if you're planning a trip to Ivanpah, there will be a group of us there in the days just before thanksgiving. Just sayin...

Mood: Itchin' for the beach

Blitzjohn -

Are you preping for Alvord?
If so, I can bring a half dozen barrow tires you can have.
I also have a loaner wheel for the trip if you need one.
Probably not the right bearings & spacers for your bug.
It is a newer PL wheel so it will work with 20, 15, 12 mm axles with
the right bearings, adapters, spacers, etc. etc.
I'll be bringing my HF mini tire changer, as well.
Just in case you can't find the right stuff in time.
No need to scrub off your beach tires.

I wonder if we could save some on an order of 6 AL sysmics?

Rick

Always on the steep part of the learning curve.

Tire size is 10 in and they are not in very good shape. The bearing is 32 mm OD and about 12ID. Can't read a part number on it.

This is a good idea if the people are in the same corners of the country and know each other. Splits up the shipping cost potentially. Blitzhound and I recently did this on a product that we both wanted and it seemed to go fairly smoothly (in my opinion).
