hey all,

i am looking for a front mudguard for my chameleon iguana on big foots but cannot seam to find any over here in the uk.

i could fabricate something but would rather try and buy a proper mudguard for it.has anyone seen the buggy for sale on facebook with a yellow bucket cut to fit? does the job i guess but im picky and want it to look and fit correctly.

if anyone could advise where i could get that it would be much appreciated.

and used clamps and a heat gun to widen it by flattening the curve. Don't know if it will get wide enough for bigfoots (bigfeet?) And they warn it's more orange than yellow.



I later bolted on a mud flap (sandflap?) and sliced it vertically into fingered fringe. This image before final trim and slicing. Works great. No more sand in face!



Total spent $30 USD.

thanks for the suggestions although none are in uk so not sure if delivery would be a problem.

i had looked at honda atc but all mudguards i found are fibre glass which will last no time at all.

just looked around on GT race buggies site!......not a good site for someone with weak will power!

Tire is 8" wide. Fender was maybe 7" when purchased, widened it out to 9" - it's maybe 8" now, need to reheat and re-widen.

This is Van's Stinger fork, has a wishbone shape, maybe 12" wide at widest. Fender isn't mounted to fork, though.

The headstock bolt was long enough that I was able to drill a hole in the fender and use an additional locking bolt to attach. As such, it doesn't confirm as closely to the tire as I'd like. However, I throw enough wet beach sand that too close to tire may be a bad idea.

I used some black nylon line and threaded it thru the existing bracket holes - tied off to the unused high-position footpeg mounting holes.

For the next version, I'll try to completely flatten it, so it gets as wide as possible. Currently, you see the edges of the tire when piloting.

Or step up from 18x10.50 - 8 turfglide tires go to trailer tires, and look at a trailer fender - like these.

The plastic trailer fenders seem to all be asymmetrical to mount to trailer, but the extra plastic on the trailer-side looks easily trimmed.

I don't know what, other than buggies, use the bigfoot tire - but that's how I found this. "What else uses these size tires" - minibikes for me. It was $23, with $12 shipping.

Maybe Bid Kid could help. I recommend sending him a U2U. He made me a front mudguard for my Ivanpah. It took him 10 minutes to make from a sheet of pliable material. I've had it for a couple of years and it works great!

This is a picture of Eli's (from Sunset Beach, Oregon) Libre majestic. It has a flexible cut out fender that is attached at three points.

I just ordered this MB165 front fender to try out. Also note that thru mid day on Friday 1/19/2018 shipping is greatly reduced if you spend more than $50. Hopefully this fender will work out for me.

I have to disagree. I have an MG Croozer with the original Fiberglass Mudguard its probable about 8 years old by now and is in fine shape. No issues. Still looks good save for some scratches.

I would have asked the manufacturer to send me a mud guard for the buggy. If they cant do that, I would ask if they can tell me where to get one. Short of admitting they cant help they would at least tell me the size of the fork so I could create one of my own.
