Importance of chaecking where you ride

I went out for a ride on a grassy park area the other day. First time for me to use this particular park for riding the board, but it was nice and close...

Normally I ride the same spots, so I know where the dips are, or bumps, or strange things in the ground... but this was such a nice clean looking field...

Anyways... was nice and powered up, zooming along with a 6.5, when I blow by one sprinkler/water control box top level with the ground. I started to slow down and... Wham! There's another one... without the lid. Skidded a bit and allllllmost missed it. Back wheel snagged the edge... and I got to eat some grass. Cows may like it... but thankfully it was fairly soft.

So the moral of this is... Know where you ride, and be cautious if you don't.

Ride safe and have fun :)
