Nobody seems to want to sell these, I was looking for one for one in a 10m for that cool retro look but I guess ill have to wait for an estate sale
or something. cause folks ain't giving them up alive . :o I knw they were
great kites but the longer u keep them the less its worth.:D

I'd say they've depreciated as far as they can. And I would argue the hold more value than almost any other kite from that period.
They are worth what one is willing to pay. It is an iconic kite with a strong following.
If one goes on the market people will either pay the seller's asking price or the seller will likely decide that it's not worth the effort of selling
unless the kite is pretty beat. It's a good enough kite that it's not worth letting go to low ballers.
Unlike say an F-Arc which is a bit of a white elephant. Still an amazing kite but too narrow a user group. But you castrate it, make it more
user-friendly, give it one of the coolest graphics ever on a kite, and BAM people will still want to but them, and some will want to take them to the
grave.
Wasn't a fan of the Phantom 1 myself. But I know a ton of people who were and still are.

It is sort of sad to see arcs all becoming phantom kites. Those ones you here about but never see.
Supply and demand will dictate how low they will go. Arcs will always offer some unique qualities but the stability and wind range of modern models
makes them a bit reduntamt. I see arcs as an ecenomical way to get in to depower but am afraid resale will be tough?
I had a bit different experience than Chris. I took up the Farc too early and the kite was trying to kill me learning on my own. Years later after I
had gained some skill I got a set of Guerrillas. WAY to slow . Years later again I got my hands on a Charger and Synergy. + traded to get my Farc
back.
I admittedly like the dumming down they did on the Farc. It remains in the collection but not rotation. My 18m Phantom will remain in rotation until
worn out. That said I am a fan of VPC and will will have some real issues saying goodbye to my Synergy's.
I suppose archaholics are like alchaholics. Some like scotch. Some like beer. But the phantom wins hands down for the best label. Here's hoping
somebody has a nice uncorked Pantom or 2 for you.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Strong request there. I like many absolutely love my Phantom 1st gen and they have taken me so far and have always been reliable every time I hook in.
I have actually considered selling the three I have to upgrade, but I am still on a mission currently to go as fast as I can with my phantoms. I have
been fortunate enough with my 9m to get to my personal best, on the beach at 52.9 mph.
If I change my mind I will let you know. I have the 18, 12&9. In my opinion the best kite range out there with only three kites in my regular
quiver

It truly is, and a confidence booster as well. In 25,30 mph winds it is so calm yet cuts through the air like a knife providing plenty of power to get
going at a nice clip. It shines in around the 30,35 mph wind speed. I used to fly it on a smaller bar but I found it actually prefers to fly wide open
on all adjustments on a big bar so much more. By far my favorite kite ever, well so far. I used to have the entire quiver but found I really did not
need the 6 or the 15 as for my area the other three really covered me well. If the wind is over 35mph here it really is not good to fly in cause it
is likely gusting to 50mph making it a bit dicey, ok dam dicey

its funny from al the first Phantoms we had all the 6s were red, 9s were teal, 12s were gold, 15s were blue and 18s yellow.
Usually the 2 zipper models were different but then I've seen a few 2 zips that match original colors and then this one that is blue that looks like
the centre zip - must be far more of a colour mix than I realized from the different manufacturing locations.
I like the blue, especially when it's crispy new, and 12 is a great size in a buggy. I hope one of the PKF family that has been looking for one get a
good deal.

Dam lucky to score both of those! I would kill to have my 6m back, reached out to the buyer, no response. Hell of a score and on you're way to having
some nice kites. You may need dam near hurricane force winds down there with that 6m. I didn't even pull at out if the trailer till it was blowing
over 35mph winds.
