Any Ft Myer Fliers on here? I'll be there all of next week for vacation. I'm wondering if there is any good spots to fly. Also, not sure what I'll bring. I'll be flying so just a kite or 2 is all I'll have.

St. Pete's Beach near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is a place they kite. Not to far from Ft. Myer's.

Thanks Cheddar. I'll be with a large group and sharing a rental. I may rent my own vehicle to escape for a day. I plan on finding something wind powered to do even if its renting a catamaran. I did that last time I was in Florida and enjoyed it. Either that or find a quiet spot to fly static. Maybe I could tempt myself to buy a rev type kite if there is a kite store in the area that has them.

My youngest is a senior this year so this will be the last spring break for us. It's nice but I look forward to spending vacation time differently in the future. Maybe even squeak in a kite buggy event.

I live in Naples, just south of Ft Myers. There really arent any good places that I know of in Ft Myers, but there are a couple of decent places in Bonita Springs, Naples, and Marco Island.

Bonita Springs - Lovers Key and there is a HUGE field right by the greyhound track.

Naples - Vinyards community park

Marco Island - Tiger Tail Park. Park at the park and walk south about 1/2 - 1 mile. HUGE open beach there. Midi - Bigfoot tires are recommended there.


I start my new job as a Sales Manager at 6 Bends Harley-Davidson on the 9th....hopefully I can get a day off 1 day next week. If I can, I'd be happy to show you the places I ride.

Good luck on the new job. I would guess your in a great area to sell harleys.
