Top 3 Locations
There are lots of great places to ride/fly. Some are hidden until discovered, others are very known. Either way it is always great to know of good
places to ride/fly locally as well as everywhere.
SO, what are your top 3 locations to ride/fly?

1) Nahant Beach, MA - 1.5 mile stretch of beach with a lot of hard pack at low tide. A top location for many.
2) Brenton Point, RI - Grassy park on a point near the ocean. Distinctively different surface, shape, elevation changes, and obstacles(bushes, trees,
rock walls) than a beach.
3) I'm still looking for #3

1) Lake Ivanpah - border of CA and NV about 45 minutes West of Last Vegas along I-15. Buggy heaven.
2)
3)
Still looking for #2 and #3. I want to add Sunset Beach, OR (site of SOBB) and Lake Alvord, OR (a remote playa that is fabled to drarf Ivanpah). I
need to buggy at these two places for me to list them for real. I'm going to SOBB next week and Alvord is bucket-listed with a bull's eye squarely on
it!

1 - Any Snow
2 - Any Hard pack beach
3 - Any Dry lake
Serously though from experience.
1- Seaside Oregon. As much for the great local crew as the miles and miles of hard pack.
2 - Ivanpah. For speed and strong winds.
3 - Wildwood. Again for the crew as much as the beach.
Bucket list
1 - Jibe
2- Deadbird.
3 - Alvord.
Then there is overseas!

Jekyll Island is absolutely premium. The palm trees give it a tropical feel. A must ride place.

Apart from my local sports field and the 1hr long drive to the beach, I've only had a weekend at Ivanpah to speak of, so my experience is limited. If
time and money were no object then my wish list would comprise of another attempt at Ivanpah in high wind, a long stay at Alvord and attend both the
Moose Meet in NZ and Yeppoon in Australia. Not quite what you asked for but hey.

Maybe this is more about knowing of locations and making a bucket list of places to ride. That would make a great trip!
Another location high on my list - any location with enough wind and space when I can get out.

Well I guess I'll represent for the Northeast crew. Can't believe no one mentioned:
1) Brandon's (Abkayak)super secret private beach. Watch my vids and you will see why.
2) Wildwood beach, Wildwood NJ - miles and miles of hard pack. Beach is rideable top to bottom at any time, but when the tide goes out the beach is
smooth as tarmac.
3) Nahant Beach, Mass. Never ever had a bad day here. Always someone to ride with. And the comradeship of the Nahant crew is priceless. Not to mention
lunch after.

1. Wildwood, NJ
2. Jekyll Island, GA
3. Nahant, MA
4. Whitby, ON
? Ivanpah, CA - the problem is that I haven't ridden there, but it sounds like it'd move into top spot pretty quickly.
But usually, my favourite place is wherever I happen to be riding with friends :wee:
Go ahead... tell me to "go fly a kite!" Please!

1. The beach with not one, but TWO best wind directions...because it's a 'spit'.....
And because it's practically my back yard... the favorite is..
Nahnat Beach. Home turf, BTW.
2. Any lake in winter that's good in all wind directions.
But the favorite because it's close to home(10 mi.):
Lake Qaunnapowitt-Wakefield, MA
3. Parking lot at Nahant beach. Good during high tides, algae invasions muck... with short line SS kites and rollerblades. If the
sand hardpack is underwater, the lot is dry.
4.Wilwood, NJ -Beach has given me many great times including night kite buggying, sea- to- boardwalk high-wind deep sand totally- off
-wind direction buggying...as well as long out and back runs. And because of the fellow pilots there at the events. Also beach views from hotel balcony
is nice.

I only started riding at JIBE this year..so my spot choices are limited. I feel fortunate seeing my #1 Jekyll Island..semi local spot on so many
lists.. it really is a good one .( I may have to ride there tomorrow now)
#2 Anastasia State Park.. just peaceful regardless of conditions. Secluded past main boardwalks.
#3 Treasure Island, Florida Popular sport kite location...but a large beach that can provide a lot of fun for rookies...and just general riding.
#3 could be a split with a Kathryn Abbey Hannah State Park in Jacksonville. I rode there today for the first time...even with tide coming in..
The right time of year and conditions. Some long rides could be had...although limited hard pack and erosion ledges in areas.
Looking for more...
