My sons doctor said that a therapy animal would be great for him so we adopted a new family member. Allow me to introduce Mimi, a 16 month old female gray tabby who is full of love, life, and personality. She chose us! So far she has seemed to like her new home and seems to enjoy taking the role of supreme leader of our household. Amazingly she seems to have taken a mothering/protector role over Dominic. She does not let him out of her sight and though he is still a bit timid around her, she is very careful as to not frighten him and is slowly breaking down his wall. She is a most welcome addition to our family and I'm sure she will be inseparable with Dominic!

That's great! I don't think I will ever be without a cat. They are amazing creatures to share a home with.

She has been AMAZING with Dominic! So patient and loving! I cant wait to see how much more of her personality comes thru as time moves on and she gets more comfortable in her new home.

If possible you should have Domenic feed her or at least put her dish down with the food in it. If he could comb her weekly that too would help with the bonding.

Great advice! I'll have him feed her for sure! Not sure he would do well with the brush yet but the feeding is a great idea. Thank you!
