12"ers on my Core 8
Just for kicks I tried out the wheels from my doomwheels project on my Core 8 today.
I made up some quick 1/2" to 3/8" bushings and slapped on the wheels. The overall weight was still only 14 lbs.
The 12"ers were fast and smoooth! Only had one big problem - my toes and heels rubbed the wheels when carving since the Core 8 is so short.
Anyone else here ride something larger than the 8"ers? With a longer board, big wheels on a mountainboard would be great for high speed cruising and
rough fields

I like that
This is my summer to get into KGB. I haven't paid much attention to truck construction but wonder if you could just flip the truck mounts on a regular
board and have the trucks work in this ( upside down ) manor ??? Assuming the board was long enough to set the straps like this.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.

Hello Snowbird - I tried it out tonight in the shop. It does work, but you just need to reverse the trucks around like this:

Got to try out my prototype board today:
Rolls much better over bumpy fields. The next version will be
sporting a Baltic Birch deck.
This is not the ideal jumping board, but a low wind cruising board or maybe a high speed board (with better trucks).
Overall, I'm very impressed - the board is long enough now so that my feet don't hit the tires when carving.
