Aluminum buggy fork

Hi !

I had an aluminum fork custom built this week for my new bigfoot tires setup.

It's made of 6061 T6 1.25 inch tubing (1/8 inch thickness) and 0.25 x 2 inch flatbar.

I expect everything to hold together just fine since I have a similar fork for my midiXL tires and rode it a few years without any problem.

But still I would like to know if you guys think it will be sturdy enough... the fork is pretty wide. I've seen similar designs made of stainless but I'm not sure if the aluminum flat bar sections are thick enough...

It's a cruising buggy, made for long distance rides. No freestyle or jumping what so ever...

I think you might add angled plates from the lower flat plates to the bearing column to triangulate
the struts and bearing. This will add stiffness and solidity to resist twisting and wracking of the head stock.
It looks like a nice job of fabrication!

The Parastorm Typhoon Mk2 is an all aluminum bug, one of my all time favorites.

I'm gonna have to wait a bit for the snow to melt before the first test drive... The beach is nice here in northeastern Quebec, but the winter is very long :P
