Will there be new kiters?

Hey, new kiter here!
I'm sure most of you that are active here know that, due to the pandemic, people have a lot more time on their hands. Being one of them, I decided to get into power kiting and (soon enough) kite blading. I would think that, as bored as people are, a good deal of people would get inspiration to join the sport. Maybe it won't be much, but at least the sport would be slightly alive again :P

Welcome. Growth is a good and bad thing. Growth is good as it pushes kite makers to innovate and provide new product but growth is bad when it leads to overcrowding and competition for good spots. Personally, I always hope for growth elsewhere and my ride spots to remain relatively empty aside from those who have been flying there for years.

Umm, US 10/11?

But, watching YouTube, I did see a few more "two weeks ago" comments as opposed to the comments posted when it came out years ago, so maybe we will see a few more people in the hobby. That's a fair point on overcrowding though, B-Roc.

welcome aboard:thumbup:
if you have a good place to fly it needs to be protected...a bad incident from anyone is all it takes
once you lose access its impossible to get it back...thats where the growth thing gets iffy
