Keep in mind that it is from 2006 so while things like the wind window haven't changed, kites certainly have.

hit upon that very link after reading b-roc's comments. funny how there's no mention of publication date in the new info that's out promoting the sale
of the book and/or dvd...

Tom - if you're looking to get on water? The Progression series is completely worth it. They have a beginner set for $28 that I found super helpful
when I started. As you progress and branch out, you can also buy other sets on surfboard, foil, tricks and they're always working on more.
If you just want something to teach friends, these are also both worth it:
kiteboarding-beginner-collection
Kitesurf College on YouTube is also worth a look, and it's free.

jeff, thanks a million. i am far too lazy to go somewhere to get going on water. i recently had a guy looking to buy a rage of mine to replace an
apex3 5.5m and his ultimate goal is to go on water. of course the rage deal fell through when i found out what he actually intended to do. i sent him
the info for the kiteboarding course, and then backed that up with the no-go info gained here.
if he has not signed up here yet, i will absolutely let him know about the info that you have placed here.
thanks, brother!

Hey, I thought it must be something like that... I know you're a land guy, and too advanced for those to be of much use. Have to say though... water
is fun!
