New kiter here....no newbie questions, just saying HI
I didn't see any "introduce yourself" type boards here so picked the one that most closely related to the type of flying I do.
My name is Jason, I live in Fair Oaks California (Sacramento). My best friend introduced me to kites and got me one for my birthday this month
He bought me a 4.5 bullet, I am having a freaking blast.
I have only been flying for about 3 weeks, but I have a pretty good grasp so far. I am experimenting with scudding and learning how to control the
kite withen the power zone of the "window" (am I using all the right lingo? ah crap thats a newbie question..sorry)
Anyways, I have been poking around these boards reading as much as I can. I like that everyone here is actually very helpfull and informative even to
the people that ask the newb questions. Not like most boards where they jump all over the new guys and call them idiots.
So far I have seen a few people around my area on the boards, eventually it would be cool to meet up and possibly learn some things from you more
experianced folk.
So thats my story, I'm sure you will hear more from me as I am hooked like nothing else. I love this sport.

Carefull though, kites become an addiction. Sure your friend gave you your first stoke for free. Soon you'll be up at 3 a.m. checking out the winds,
forums and ebay for kites. You'll have bruises in places people shouldn't have bruises and you'll jump everytime a flag flaps ! A bonified wind junkie

HA!
You assume that I already don't do these things lol.
I was hooked from day one. I flew my friends kite and was bugging him every day to go fly again.
I have already been scoping out new kites on Ebay. I have seriously thought about buying one of the $100 Acers. But a kite with that much lift I am
going to stay away from until I can master my bullet
