Looks like an expensive version of a NASA or am I missing something?

Pretty spot on. I think the main advantage compared to a NASA would just be that it has fewer bridles. I tried that sort of thing long ago, and the
fewer the bridles that better. I'm not sure that is worth hundreds of dollars more. This is mainly intended for downwinding so I don't think the
limited NASA wind window is a big issue.

Wicked short stock flying lines. Not sure it's flying more than an arm span or two away. The extremely short fly lines allows you to to do a snatch
'n stow, followed by a redeploy mid-ride (near end of video).
.
Very curious what the patent is for.

He may not have a patent yet, or ever get one. It looks like it says on the kite "Patent Pending" on the video below but it's hard to read. There is
nothing particularly unique about his kite design, and it seems to have normal handles. He may have just applied for it to discourage competition.
Or maybe he gets one just because it's a concept that has not been pateted before...

It looks like you could make it four line pretty easy. It might be fun to try on the longboard with assorted length lines
