If you mean floaty during descent the B3 8.5 and Bego 600 are very floaty. I have owned/own and flown both. The winds you described are within each kites wind range! 15 mph winds on a 8.5 is awesome! Damn good on a Bego 600 too! Big airs, great board runs, and the floaty landings your looking for "IF" you know how to control/redirect the kite! I installed a pic with my 600 in 18 to 20 mph winds nd I didnt redirect! Hard landing but thank goodness the ground was very wet. Also, I didnt have my lid on very stupid. I got lucky!

Thrash,

Review your which blade thread--the same responses by Pablo! The winds you described and your stature would work well with a B3/4 6.6/6.5. The Bego 600 and CF 6.3 are also lifty/floaty and would fly nice in 8 to 17 mph winds! Just a few fixed bridle options that Ive flown. Depower-- I can only speak on Air Evolutions, and Montana 2s--very nice kites! Im sure the Ozone and FS pilots will chime in as well. As always, fly before you buy if possible!

Tridude called it.... FS pilot chiming in.....

Flysurfer kites are known for floaty jumps, especially the Speed and Speed2

High AR... paraglider technology.

Bump on Air Evo as well

Guys I have five kids on a fixed budget. No water for a hundred miles. All I have to fly in only half the year is rice fields. I'm looking for a good static flyer. Maybe some boarding too. Thats another story. But help finding the right kite Is hard. I wish I had a way to try them first like Tri-dude said.I have heard the Beamer & the Blade are nice for that. Thanks.

For static and jumping, as well as budget, there really is only one cheap option, You can probably find a smoking deal on a BIII 6.6m kite. Probably all you'll need for now, probably scare you pretty good the first time you fly it in real wind as well. No need for harness, easy solo launch, good safety system, awesome lift and good float. The price should be starting to come down on the used ones seeing as the new BIV's are out.

Thrash,

Just to let you know Flysurfers creed is WSL--water, snow or land! Versatile kite good on any surface. You could argue a one kite quiver given the correct size! Pricey yes but if you have the right size for your conditions thats all youd need!

I'd agreee about flysurfers, but i do find their pull a lot more violent in heavier wind (especially the speed!)

The floatiest kites i've ever flown - redirect or not are hands down peter lynns... venoms or guerillas mainly. They are incredibly floaty.

Although the flysurfers are like mini paragliders - they do have a habit of yanking you downwind extremely fast if you don't do your redirects properly :)

If no one's willing to part with one here, then start digging around E-bay or the buy sell on Flexi forums.
