Ready for lift!
Can anyone hook me up with a good lift kite? I hear Blade is the best but cant afford one new. What are some good step down kites for static jumping?
200lbs. A5.5 or 6.6 what? Need help. Just static flying for lift right now. Need to get used to jumping static before I go flying in a buggy. So just
something to learn on Thanks.

I'm still waiting to share my new Ace with the folks around the park. I expect it to compete with ( and lose to ) the 4.9 blade, 5 U-turn and not
sure how it will compair to Busters / Broozas and Firebees in the same size.
From my 1st impression that cheap little kite should have you jumping pretty well if you aren't a heavy weight. You should be able to fly next to your
friends 4.9 blade and do nearly as well @ 1/4 the price.
I get the impression that you like the jumping part of kiting a lot. Perhaps you should be thinking of picking up a ground board over a buggy. The
board can be transported so much more easy, requires no set up time and offer the chance to move up to jumping pretty fast. Buggies are fun and all
but the jump junkies around here all seem to end up with a KGB sooner than later. The lifty kites you seek will be far better suited to a board than a
bug. Especially as a nube.
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Hey snowbird, I just had a go yesterday with it after I finished flying my 4.9 blade.I wasn't much surprise with quality of $100 kite and flying it
after adjusting all lines wasn't very exiting. It is good kite to start with as it have minimal lift and pull.Material on kite says it all about the
price.

race kite? I hear they are pretty snappy. what will be the differences besides size in these two kites?

E-bay baby.
The race kites will produce a huge amount of lift..............at speed.
Static, not so much. The blades are a different sort, they produce lift at low kite speed, but if you get them going fast they can generate a fair
amount of downwind pull. So for static jumping and low speed freestyle type of tricks the Blades are wicked, heard good things about the new Ozone
kite as well.
Something like the Brooza is in the middle, fast kite, but not as quick as a race kite by any means, good lift, enough from the 5.5m in 20mph winds to
get my 250lb rear in the air with a little forward speed, but not the huge floaty air of the blades. The Brooza II's have the adjustable bridal to
turn up the lift. I've tried it on the 7.5m kite and it does lift and float nicely. I'd call it a good freeride, all around kite, good for spirited
cruising and some jumping, not really a race monster, not a freestyle monster either, just a fairly good blend for the all around ride.
Busters don't make much lift in the factory setting, but with the adjustable bridal you can turn it up a fair bit. Still not super lifty, the buster
is more of a low speed/static, learning to board/buggy kite, it's stable, friendly, and has enough lift to be fun, but not really designed for high
speed cruising or hard core jumping.

I agree about the material looking a bit weak. I wondered why others hadn't mentioned it. So far I haven't heard any complaints about material
issues. I only got the Ace out in low wind. It acted like it would lift well if it had just a bit more. Sort of sorry to hear you are not impressed.
Sticking it next to a 4.9 blade was the 1st thing I wanted to see. I Expected it to fall short. The smooth power delivery was something I did like.
For the rest I'm still waiting to see.

Sthrasher, You can try both on Ocean beach just let me know When You showing up so I can take all kites with me.Razor is race kite but it doesn't take
as much brakes input as Yakuza so it is easy to fly it.I did 20+ high jumps with it jumping static.
